Enabling greater natural beauty and radiance, Lumecca offers a pioneering approach to facial treatments. The procedure is particularly effective in improving pigmentation spots, age spots, sun damage, red veins and rosacea. Lumecca is a versatile treatment for correcting a variety of problems, improving skin texture on both the face and body, using advanced IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology.

Lumecca's treatment head emits light energy at different wavelengths to target the skin layers, reaching pigment- and collagen-producing cells. The absorption of light energy generates heat, which helps break down pigmented cells and boosts collagen production, improving skin firmness and elasticity. It can be used both on the face and body, primarily to treat signs of sun damage, but also to rejuvenate the skin and improve skin tone.

The course of treatment

Prior to the treatment, a thorough pre-treatment consultation will take place to assess the patient’s skin condition, including a full assessment of their home cosmetics, sunbathing habits, skin problems and active and previous skin conditions. Pre- and post-procedure care, the patient's goals and expectations, and the possible results and side effects of the treatment will be discussed.

The Lumecca treatment involves first thoroughly cleansing the skin and then applying a special gel to help optimize the transmission of light. The treatment device emits a pulsating light, which patients usually describe as a slight pinching sensation. The duration of the treatment lasts between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on the areas being treated. Afterwards, the skin may be slightly red or swollen, but these symptoms usually disappear within a short time.

The treatment can be used for both men and women, regardless of age. It is recommended for the treatment of facial capillaries, redness or rosacea, as well as signs of skin damage caused by sun exposure.
Frequency may vary depending on individual needs and skin problems, even a single treatment can result in visible improvement. Usually two treatments are needed every 4 weeks.
The treatment is painless, but there is a slight burning sensation.
A temporary redness and/or a burning sensation may be experienced. After treatment, the pigmentation will intensify, and after a week the pigmentation will peel off the skin with a scab. There is also an intensification of capillaries, which coagulate, collapse and eventually disappear.
The next day, the patient can return to their daily routine.
Results are visible after the first treatment, for 3-6 months.
It is very important to avoid tanning beds and sun exposure for 1-2 weeks before the treatment, and to moisturise and use strict sun protection after the treatment.
